Different types of bike locks

This type of bike lock is significantly more robust and makes it difficult for a bike thief to break the solid U-shaped shackle with conventional tools. However, U-locks are rigid in shape and therefore take up a lot of space when transported. They are also relatively heavy and come with a higher purchase price.

The handy chain lock

The chain lock, which consists of several flexibly connected chain elements, is particularly easy to use. It can be easily wrapped around any object and therefore protects a bike from theft when you are out and about. You can also expect to pay a slightly higher price for a chain lock, but this quickly pays for itself thanks to the high security standard.

The compact folding lock

A folding lock is also flexible in use and takes up very little space during transport. However, you can expect a noticeable weight for the high security standard. Folding locks are also among the more expensive bike locks.
