Redirecting to our new store...
Do your children enjoy accompanying you on your bike rides? Even the youngest children need a good bike and the right clothing to ensure that the ride is a success. In addition, you need the right bike accessories, such as a helmet, which provides greater safety in the event of a fall.
Most children love cycling and start to take an interest in it at an early age. A balance bike is the ideal way to get started, as the child still runs with their legs but playfully trains the movements that are so important for cycling. Balance is trained and getting on and off the bike as well as braking can also be practiced with balance bikes.
From the age of three to four, children can then switch to a real bike. The smallest bikes start with a wheel size of 12 inches. This is followed by 14, 15, 18, 20, and 24 inches, until the youngster can switch to an adult bike. Depending on the size of the child and the length of their legs, there is always a suitable bike available.
Safety is paramount when your child is out on the road with a balance bike or bicycle. This also applies when the child is only riding on sidewalks. After all, a fall on the head can result in serious injuries. A helmet is therefore an essential accessory for children.
At Transa, helmets are available in many cool designs and in sizes to fit every head. Try the helmet on before buying to make sure it fits securely on the head and won't slip off in the event of a fall. You are welcome to visit one of our stores to try it on. It is also important that a light hat can be worn under the helmet in winter to protect the ears from the cold.
Is your child still too small for their own balance bike or bike? Then you can safely take them with you on your bike in a bicycle child seat. Smaller children in particular are not yet able to cover longer distances on their own bikes, so a bicycle child seat can be a good alternative for a bike ride with the whole family.
