Always on the right track with a compass
When out in the wild, it is important that you always know where you are and which direction you are heading in. This is especially true for longer trekking tours. Depending on the weather conditions and region, getting lost can quickly become dangerous. A compass is essential for finding your way back at any time, especially if your technology fails. A GPS device may not have reception between tall trees or in a valley. In such situations, it is always good to have a compass in your luggage. It shows you which direction you should be moving in so that you can reach your destination quickly and safely.
