Serac 40

The Serac 40 from Exped is an innovative and weatherproof alpine backpack for adventurers who set off in all weathers. It accompanies you all year round, whether you're going on expeditions or simply exploring the great outdoors.

The high-quality ripstop material is laminated with thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) and therefore has a high water column of 10,000 millimetres. Taped seams and waterproof fabric with water-repellent zips keep your equipment dry, whether it's raining or snowing.

The top roll-top closure provides easy access to the main compartment of the hiking backpack. But that's not all - thanks to the side access, you can easily get to the contents in the lower section of the backpack without having to unpack all of it. The removable side and top compression straps ensure that everything stays securely in place.

The backpack also has a quick-access outside pocket with a zip, which is ideal for small personal items or sunglasses. Finally, you no longer have to search long for important items! The generous front pocket offers enough space for shovels, ski skins and other important items of equipment.

The comfortable carrying system with height-adjustable chest strap ensures a high level of comfort without compromise. Thanks to the removable polyethylene (PE) foam back panel, the hiking backpack offers pleasant padding in the back area. For additional stability and an optimum fit in any situation, there is a removable hip belt - ideal if you want to use the backpack for climbing.

To keep you well hydrated on the go, you have the option of integrating a hydration pack and minimalist daisy chains offer you additional attachment options for your alpine and ski equipment.

Thanks to its light and well thought-out construction, a lot of weight has been saved and the slim and compact design ensures a more direct load transfer. As a result, the Serac 40 adapts perfectly to every movement, whether on steep climbs or narrow trails.
