The catch strap is used when the Xenic is used without a stopper. When mounting the front head, the free wire loop is placed under the head so that a binding screw encloses the wire. The wire can then be threaded through. The catch strap has a certain predetermined breaking load to separate the skiing from the foot in the event of an avalanche.
