You need the Hilleberg inner tent pole holders if you want to pitch the inner tent separately, i.e. on its own. Simply attach them to the corners of the tent and place the pole ends in them. Coupled but separable inner and outer tents are one of the hallmarks of Hilleberg tents. The inner tents have fixed or elastic straps with toggles that are buttoned into the rings of the outer tent. This connection is simple and allows the inner tent to be (partially) unhooked or used as a separate unit. In warm, dry weather or on tours in warm regions, only the inner tent can be used. Note: Depending on the tent model, you will need a different number of pole holders! You need pole holders at each end of the poles. For example, an Akto only requires two holders, while the Nammatj needs four.
